You attend a NFL Fantasy Football League draft party and spot a woman? She's probably greatly concerned by male herd behavior and would love to be asked a question that is not "Where's more beer?".
There's a guy at a baby shower? He's the father. Go say hi.
See? I think there's something to this. Do the heavy lifting of putting yourself out there, and one day maybe someone will reach out to you when you walk into a foreign mass armed with nothing but a good attitude.
