Calendar Lovely

I am a huge fan of wall calendars-- they mark the good times or bad times survived. Days going forward represent future adventure and happy moments.

Six years later, I'm faithfully re-ordering my Dolphin Studio calendar for 2011. I love each year's changing screen-printed designs and the small family-run production. They normally run out of stock towards January, and who doesn't love limited availability?

This year, I'm complimenting my Dolphin Studio calendar with wall art. Me and every NYTimes Sunday T Magazine reader, we read today's back-page feature on Massimo Vignelli's 1966 calendar still produced today by Unica Home. The scale, 3 feet by 4 feet, is impressive, but since I've recently doubled my square footage and added a study/guest room, Vignelli's classic will hang above my new West Elm Parsons desk in Tumeric.

People, I'm so excited.
