Petra Elliott Kann and Thomas Patrick Weir were married Saturday at Miller Chapel at the Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. The Rev. David C. Mertz, a United Methodist minister, led the ceremony with his wife, the Rev. Dr. Nancy J. Duff, a Presbyterian minister, taking part.
Mrs. Weir, 25, graduated with a certificate in aesthetics from Hair Expressions, a beauty school in Rockville, Md.
The bride is a daughter of Karen Elliott House and Peter R. Kann of Princeton. Her father retired as chairman and chief executive of Dow Jones & Company. Her mother retired as publisher of The Wall Street Journal. Her parents each won a Pulitzer Prize for international reporting, Mr. Kann in 1972 and Ms. House in 1984.
Mr. Weir, 26, is a third-year law student at Georgetown. He graduated from Dickinson College.
He is a son of Barbara and Brian Weir of Swarthmore, Pa. His mother is a librarian at Swarthmore College. His father teaches science at Garnet Valley Middle School in Glen Mills, Pa.
