The Complete Engraver: A Guide to Monograms, Crests, Ciphers, Seals, and the Etiquette and History of Social Stationery
Coming in September from Nancy Sharon Collins, the stationer who gave the MOMA logo its signature look and whose exquisite bespoke monograms can be seen here on her website.
Don't start about the book's cover. I agree: it's visually bleh (maybe because they used about 47 fonts) but here's hoping everything inside is as stunning as this, this, and this. Sigh. There can never be too much beauty.
NSC came into my world when I was working in editorial in NYC. She is a former New Yorker who moved to New Orleans post-9/11 where she writes, creates, and teaches the art of graphic design and typography.
Her things are stunning, and I am obsessed.
