Thank goodness balloons are a perfectly affordable, customizable, and fun solution to the birthday present dilemma especially as people get older (ie possible displays of great volume).
Balloons can be delivered, bliss. They arrive*, make a stir, and stay only 3 to 7 days. Many a house guest could take a page from that book. Happy birthday, y'all.
*Up the embarrassment ante and have the balloons delivered straight to the office. Now that's a birthday statement.
