"Window shopping" in French is "lèche- vitrine" which literally means "window licking," the perfect visual for one of my favorite pastimes.
Sunday afternoon, I was "window licking" on shopscad.com, a website selling work by Savannah College of Art & Design students. Most everything is want-worthy at an affordable price point, but I was stopped in my tracks by Jenny Little's hand-sewn, hand-printed cotton canvas tipis.
The tipis come in two sizes, 4x4 and 6x6. Perhaps their charm is in appealing to memories of afternoons hidden in the side yard, reading in a tent made from sheets. What bigger and better dreams could I have come up with if my tea parties and reading sessions took place in one of these?
This is what having Godchildren is about--spoiling them rotten when you would restrain yourself if it were your own kids. Now, how would the French say, "Not my problem"?
